Harrisburg, PA – December 21, 2009 B.J. Sterndale, Training Officer for CNB Bank, has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Banker’s Association (PBA) AIBTM (American Institute Bankers) Advisory Committee. This Committee will work with management to further expand the AIBTM offering through the PBA. The AIBTM Advisory Committee will explore ways to integrate AIBTM curriculum into other PBA educational programming, assist in developing innovative marketing initiatives, work to increase Pennsylvania Bank usage of the AIBTM curriculum and be advocates for the AIBTM offer with their peers. Mrs. Sterndale will serve a three-year term, effective immediately. For CNB Bank, B.J. Sterndale is responsible for overseeing the extensive training requirements for over 250 employees. She specializes in computer software implementation and training, bank employee e-learning courses and curriculums, Microsoft software training, new employee development, coaching and mentoring programs. She is a Certified Microsoft Trainer and a certified CCL Service Trainer. “Continuing education is very important to us. The Bank offers an incentive to every employee to learn more about banking and finance by offering two additional vacation days each time they earn a PBA diploma, and many of our employees take advantage of this benefit,” William F. Falger, President and CEO of CNB Bank, went on to say, “It’s a true benefit to our customers to have knowledgeable employees – that’s why we put so much emphasis on it.” Mrs. Sterndale has been with CNB for over twenty years, holding various Receptionist and Teller positions over the years, as well as various positions in the training department. Since her employment with CNB, B.J. has attained Microsoft Office Specialist Master Certification for Office 2000 and Office 2003. She has also earned numerous diplomas from the Pennsylvania Banker’s Association/Professional Development Network (PBA/PDN), to include General Banking, Bank Operations, Banking & Finance, Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Lending, Personal Banking and Retail Branch Management. In addition, she has earned four PBA/PDN certificates: Bank Teller, CSR, Supervisor and Team Leader. “BJ has always been a tremendous coach and mentor for CNB, even before she was in a training position. I am pleased that she will be representing us in such an important matter,” stated Mr. Falger. A native of Clearfield, B.J. currently resides in Clearfield with her husband, Dennis. She has two children, Brandi and Tyler. She graduated in 1980 from Clearfield Area High School. The Pennsylvania Bankers Association, located in Harrisburg, is the state’s major banking trade association representing an expansive and diverse membership. The Association offers extensive continuing education programs, government relations representation on behalf of the industry, and provides numerous products and services for banks and their employees.
